"On 1/16/08 Dr. Ipsen did a spinal fusion on my L4 L5. I now have a Titanium Cage with five screws. I have my life back! Fall of 2009 I started school at Crowder College and December 2011 I graduated with my AA in General Studies. Before seeing Dr. Ipsen I was confined to my home with constant pain and agony. Today I walk upright, still go for my morning walks (5 miles), and socialize with my family and friends. My deepest thanks to Dr. Ipsen and all of Ortho 4-States staff. From my wife, Jacque, and myself, God bless all of you." –Timothy "It is not an exaggeration to say that you have changed my life and given me a much sunnier outlook for the years I have left ahead of me. I am still surprised and grateful at the things I am now able to do that I haven't done in years. Having a multiple of "issues" going on at the same time was a challenge, but, thank God the cooperation and coordination among your different specialties enabled us to get it all accomplished.
"I had pain in my right hip; now the pain has decreased and is almost gone in just two weeks. The water therapy has “done miracles.” I couldn’t climb steps because I couldn’t put weight on my leg and now I can. I am now able to sleep at night without any pain. The instructors here are very knowledgeable." –Betty "My mother is 92 years old and I was really impressed with the staff and how they treated her with respect and a caring attitude. She is now able to get up and around again" –Barbara "My favorite part of the pool was the treadmill; beginning therapy in the water was much easier because you are not as scared to use the injured joint because of the lack of weight bearing in the pool. The staff is top notch in professional performance and made a difficult situation much easier to deal with." –Hank
"On Sept. 28, I had spinal surgery performed by Dr. Brian Ipsen of Orthopaedic Specialists of the Four States in Joplin. I would like to relate the positive experience I had. I live in Springfield and earlier this year was diagnosed with spinal stenosis, which is a narrowing of the spinal canal that impinges on nerves in the canal, causing severe, sometimes debilitating pain, in the lower back and legs. Such a condition drastically limits most daily activities. In my case, I also have nerve damage in both legs, which will take considerable time to heal." |
