Hand & Elbow

The hands are our chosen body part for physically manipulating the environment. From threading a needle to using a hammer, our hands can cover many ranges of motion. In addition, since the finger tips contain some of the highest concentration nerve endings on the human body, they are also the richest source of tactile feedback.

The elbow acts like a hinge for the arm using the biceps muscle to move the arm forward and backward. The triceps muscle is the major muscle that extends the elbow hinge. Tendons are attach to this area which can be injured, causing inflammation or tendonitis.
